Harmattan is here again and it is back with all its cold and haziness. Harmattan has a direct effect on us especially on our skin and our general wellbeing. We all don’t want our skin looking dull and dry during this period. In this time of the season, it is very essential to give extra attention to our skin to keep it well nourished and healthy. Imagine having your chapped foot wrecking your favorite bedspread or having your skin and lips chapped, those are not pleasant. Harmattan is harsh but we think it’s important to get a skin care routine to keep us going during this season.

In this season of dryness, adding shea butter to your beauty routine will help keep your skin from getting dried up even on the windiest of days. Keeping a small can of shea butter in your bag can help with your body and face in moments your skin starts to look ashy during the day.

COCONUT OIL.
Coconut oil like Shea butter has some special healing features and because it comes in an oil form, it makes it easier for the skin to absorb all its goodness. It is used for the body and also used in cooking.
Coconut oil reduces inflammation, keeps the skin moisturized and also helps in healing wounds. Coconut oil can also help in the treatment of acne and generally, it protects the skin from harmful bacteria. During this season, feed your skin with coconut oil to prevent dryness. Our body easily gets dehydrated in this weather. Hence, it is important to drink a lot of water to replenish the water our body loses. Our body composes of upto 60% of water. To keep your skin and body healthy, drink enough water. Dehydation can cause you to feel thirsty and fatigued and may even develop in a mild headache. You don’t want to walk around town feeling tired and thirsty at all times especially during this season. Make sure you always have a bottle of water in your bag to keep hydrated.
